তথ্যমন্ত্রীকে গোয়েন্দা সংস্থার প্রধান করার আহ্বান- রিজভী
তথ্যমন্ত্রী ড. হাছান মাহমুদকে জাতীয় গোয়েন্দা সংস্থার প্রধান করতে সরকারের প্রতি আহ্বান জানিয়েছেন বিএনপির সিনিয়র যুগ্ম-মহাসচিব অ্যাডভোকেট রুহুল কবির রিজভী।
পুরান ঢাকার চকবাজারের চুড়িহাট্টায় ভয়াবহ ও বিভীষিকাময় অগ্নিকাণ্ডে বিএনপির সংশ্লিষ্টতা খতিয়ে দেখা উচিত তথ্যমন্ত্রীর এমন বক্তব্যের কড়া সমালোচনা করে তিনি বলেন, ‘এই ধরনের উদ্ভট লোককে তথ্যমন্ত্রী করে আমার মনে হয় সরকার অন্যায় করেছে, প্রধানমন্ত্রী শেখ হাসিনার উচিত তাকে জাতীয় গোয়েন্দা সংস্থা এনএসআই প্রধান করা।
রোববার দুপুরে নয়াপল্টনে দলের কেন্দ্রীয় কার্যালয়ে আয়োজিত সংবাদ সম্মেলনে তিনি এমন মন্তব্য করেন।
চকবাজারের চুড়িহাট্টায় আগুনের ঘটনাকে কেন্দ্র করে বেগম জিয়াকে কেরানীগঞ্জে স্থানান্তর করা হতে পারে এ বিষয় দৃষ্টি আকর্ষণ করা হলে রিজভী বলেন, ‘আমাদের প্রিয় নেত্রী একটি ভুয়া মামলায় কারাগারে আছেন, স্থানান্তর নয় এই মুহূর্তে তাকে মুক্তি দিতে হবে। আমরা তার নিঃশর্ত মুক্তি চাই।’
তিনি বলেন, ‘পুরান ঢাকার চকবাজারের চুড়িহাট্টায় ভয়াবহ ও বিভীষিকাময় অগ্নিকাণ্ডে নিহত প্রায় একশ মানুষের মৃত্যুতে গোটা জাতির সঙ্গে আমরাও শোকাহত। আমরা বিএনপির পক্ষ থেকে গতকাল শনিবার সারাদেশে শোক দিবস পালন করছি। এখনও নিখোঁজ ১৫ জনের অধিক। হাসপাতালের বার্ন ইউনিটে দগ্ধরা কাতরাচ্ছেন। স্বজনদের কান্না আর বুক ফাটা আহাজারিতে আশপাশের পরিবেশ ভারি হয়ে উঠেছে।
বিএনপির এই নেতা বলেন, ‘আমি গভীর উদ্বেগ-উৎকণ্ঠা এবং আতংকের সঙ্গে বলছি, আমাদের প্রাণপ্রিয় দেশনেত্রী বেগম খালেদা জিয়াকে যে পরিত্যক্ত কারাগারে অবরুদ্ধ রাখা হয়েছে তার চারপাশে রাসায়নিক বিস্ফোরকের ডিপো। চুড়িহাট্টার ওয়াহেদ ম্যানশন থেকে নাজিমউদ্দিন রোডে দেশনেত্রীর কারা প্রকোষ্ঠের দূরত্ব মাত্র দেড় থেকে দুইশ মিটার।
তিনি আরও বলেন, ‘সেতুমন্ত্রী ওবায়দুল কাদের গত শুক্রবার ঢাকা মেডিকেল কলেজ (ঢামেক) হাসপাতালে গিয়ে সাংবাদিকদের কাছে স্বীকার করেছেন, ‘সরকার চকবাজার ট্রাজেডির দায় এড়াতে পারে না।’ আমি সরকারকে বলবো এই ঘটনার দায় যেহেতু স্বীকার করেছেন এখন পদত্যাগ করুন।
