নিখোঁজের ১ দিন পর রংপুর মহানগরীর কুকরুল থেকে উদ্ধার করাহলো আড়াই বছরের শিশু টুকটুকির মরদেহ। শুক্রবার সন্ধায় ঐ এলাকার একটি মুরগির ফার্মের পরিত্যক্ত গর্ত থেকে লাশটি উদ্ধার করে পুলিশ।
রংপুর মেট্রোপলিটন পুলিশের পরশুরাম থানার ওসি (তদন্ত) মোস্তাফিজার রহমান জানান,বৃহস্পতিবার বিকেলে আমাশু কুকরুল পশ্চিম পাড়ার রাজ মিস্ত্রি সাইয়েদুল ইসলামের আড়াই বছরের কন্যা সাদিয়া আক্তার টুকটুকি।বিষয়টি জানিয়ে থানায় সাধারণ ডায়েরি করে তার পিতা।আমরা অনুসন্ধান চালিয়ে শুক্রবার সন্ধায় ঐ এলাকার ইয়াসিন আলীর মুরগীর ফার্মের পাশে একটি পরিত্যক্ত গর্ত থেকে টুকটুকির লাশ উদ্ধার করেছি। ময়নাতদন্তের জন্য লাশটি রংপুর মেডিকেল কলেজ হাসপাতালের মর্গে পাঠানো হয়েছে।
নিহত টুকটুকির বাবা জানান বৃহস্পতিবার বিকেলে প্রতিদিনের মতো বাড়ির আঙ্গিনায় খেলা করতো টুকটুকি কিন্তু প্রতিদিনের মতো সঠিক সময়ে বাড়িতে না ফিরলে আমরা দিসেহারা হয়ে পাগলের মতো খুজতে থাকি কিন্তু তা না পেয়ে থানায় গিয়ে সাধারণ ডায়েরি করি, কোন প্রকার সন্ধান না পেয়ে আমরা বাকরুদ্ধ হয়ে যাই। কে বা কারা আমার মেয়ে কে হত্যা করলো তার সঠিক তদন্ত করে আসামীর বিচার কামনা করি।
এ ঘটনায় এলাকায় শোকের ছায়ায় নেমে এসে।
