রংপুর সদর উপজেলা নির্বাহী কর্মকর্তার সাথে মতবিনিময় করেছেন নেটওয়াকিং ফর ইনক্লুশান এন্ড এমপাওয়ারমেন্ট অফ দলিত’স এন্ড নৃতাত্ত্বিক ইন দি নর্থ-ওয়েস্ট অফ বাংলাদেশ (এনএনএমসি) ও অ্যাডভোকেসি প্লাটফর্ম। বুধবার দুপুরে সদর উপজেলা কর্মকর্তার কার্যালয়ে এ সভা অনুষ্ঠিত হয়।
সদর উপজেলা অ্যাডভোকেট প্লাটফর্মের সভাপতি উজ্জ্বল চক্রবর্তীর সভাপতিত্বে মতবিনিময় সভায় প্রধান অতিথির বক্তব্য রাখেন সদর উপজেলা নির্বাহী কর্মকর্তা ইসরাত সাদিয়া সুমী। এতে সম্মানিত অতিথি হিসেবে উপস্থিত ছিলেন সিলেট জেলা প্রশাসকের কার্যালয়ের সহকারী কমিশনার ও নির্বাহী ম্যাজিস্ট্রেট ইরতিজা হাসান, বদরগঞ্জ উপজেলা ভূমি কর্মকর্তা মো. শরীফুল আলম, সদর উপজেলা কৃষি কর্মকর্তা খন্দকার সোহায়েল আহমেদ, উপজেলা মাধ্যমিক শিক্ষা কর্মকর্তা আবু সাঈদ মো. আব্দুল ওয়াহিদ।
সভায় সমাজে পিছিয়ে পড়া আদিবাসী ও দলিত জনগোষ্ঠীর মৌলিক অধিকার বাস্তবায়ন ও জীবন মানোন্নয়নে সরকারের বিভিন্ন পরিকল্পনা ও কার্যক্রম নিয়ে আলোচনা করা হয়। এতে অবহেলিত এই জনগোষ্ঠীর শিক্ষা, স্বাস্থ্য, বাসস্থান, খাদ্যসহ উন্নত জীবন-জীবিকা নিশ্চিত করতে সরকারি সুযোগ সুবিধা বাড়ানোর ওপর গুরুত্বারোপ করা করেন বক্তারা।
অ্যাডভোকেসি অফিসার পাপন কুমার সরকারের সঞ্চালনা ও পরিচালনায় সভায় অন্যান্যদের মধ্যে বক্তব্য রাখেন- এনএনএমসি’র কো-অর্ডিনেটর মো. নুরুল আলম শুভ, জেলা অ্যাডভোকেসি প্লাটফর্মের সভপতি এ্যাডভোকেট মমিলাল দাস, সিনিয়র সাংবাদিক আবু তালেব, সদর উপজেলা অ্যাডভোকেসি প্লাটফর্মের দপ্তর সম্পাদক ফরহাদুজ্জামান ফারুক, সদস্য মাহামুদা চৌধুরী, মামুন তুরী তুলিপ এক্কা, প্রদীপ পাহান প্রমুখ।
