He is working in Rangpur as the staff reporter of Daily Dabanol, the first newspaper of the northern region founded by the mouthpiece of the Great Liberation War, the freedom fighter Khandokar Golam Mostafa Batul, and the bureau chief of Sonalinews.com, a news portal approved by the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh. His passion is to create something new. He wants to learn, wants to inform people.

Apart from journalism, AKM Sumon also does YouTube. Also worked with several channels. Currently working on his own channel @SumonTube.

Also has business selling domain hosting called Rafi IT Solution. A digital creator, digital marketer and WordPress website developer. Sumon has also acquired good skills in Facebook Marketing, YouTube Marketing etc. Also skilled in graphics designing, video making, video editing and article writing.

Fazil (BA equivalent) completed under Bangladesh Arabic University. Completed long term training at National Academy for Computer Training and Research (NECTAR) Bogra Bangladesh. According to the certificate, AKM Sumon was born on July 11, 1997 in a Muslim family in Mekura Sundorpara of Rangpur Sadar Upazila. His father Asadul Islam is a farmer by profession. Mother Kalpona Begum is a housewife.

AKM Sumon has also trained in Journalism from MRDI, News Network, Article-19, Press Institute of Bangladesh (PIB) and several domestic and international institutions.

He received the journalist of the year award twice while working as a staff reporter of Central News Bangladesh (CNB).
